Hi, I've spent the morning looking at this and it appears to be what I need. But, I've downloaded and installed, but how on earth do I add an event, there are no + buttons on my calendar as in the online demonstration version? I have to say i have found the whole thing very confusing so far! <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

There is a login/registration form about 50% of the way down the page on the left side - its not obvious, but there isn't much we can do about that since its a Joomla.org site.

do you mean this page? http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... /events/95

then (when you are logged in) you should see a 'review' button on the right side of the page just at the top of the list of reviews

Great thanks for that. A little feed back, firstly your support is "brilliant", i will add that comment to your blog. Secondly for future reference when dealing with a pleb like me, I had created a menu item but had selected "article" not jevents!

Hello,

Then you have still not created a menu item to link to the calendar and you are just using modules?

So Joomla! -> menus -> select your menu -> Menu Items -> New

Select JEvents Calendar.

Thanks
Tony

Thanks for that I'm back where I was! OK, can I display the calendar directly in large format so that I can see all the events at a glance or with mouse over? I can only seem to display it in "mini" which shows no detail?

Hello,

To remove JEvents from your installation it is standard Joomla! Practice to go to the Extension Manager and then Manage. Select what you want to uninstall and click uninstall.

Thanks

Sorry I haven't had time to look at this for a few days. I trashed the modules, I have no idea how to remove the component element please advise?

Hello,

How did you remove the modules?

you would need to do a complete uninstall and reinstall to reinstall them.

You cannot get JEvents to show in an article. JEvents is a Component, so you create a menu item.

Thanks
Tony

Hi, Having solved my initial problems re displaying the latest events module (thank you again). I set about trying to display the calendar on an article page and was having great difficulty displaying it in anything but the mini view? Not sure what I did but it stopped displaying any of my latest events,(My guess is I did something which un sinced it?) I could not get latest events to display at all! Out of desperation I deleted the modules and tried to re install the whole thing. This does not work! The original component remains as it was,(I know this as it still has previously added events in the component)but it does not re install the modules? So I downloaded the individual modules but I just get the message " cannot find joomla XML setup file" Please help?

To do that, disable the header navigation from JEvents core and / or the Menu Item you created to JEvents.

Thanks

yes got that. That's not the problem. If I disable this I can't then view the item! The problem is when you view the item most of the page is taken up with the search boxes to other items! I want to lose the search boxes when viewing the item?

Sorry Tony it must be me?

If I open the "latest events" module I have 3 tabs, basic details, options and menu assignment. I can not find any reference to "is link" or "display calendar link"? Under options there is "display link to calendar component" which is already set to "no link"!

Hello,

You specified:

In the latest events module

So if you EDIT the Latest Events Module Configuration from:

Joomla! Admin
Extensions
Module Manager

You can edit it there.

Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony, Sorry lost?

Do you mean "configuration" in the "jevents component"? Under this I can find no reference to "is link" or "display calendar link"? Also, in my desperation in looking I have changed something and now whilst the events still display the link to the event note is gone?
