We are considering upgrading to Gold to start using RSVP Pro, and have some questions about ticketing.

First: we would like to have multiple different types of tickets for a single event (i.e. "front row", "supporter", "general admission", etc for one event). Is this supported?

If so, can multiple tickets for this one event be purchased in a single transaction using authorize.net or Paypal? (for example 3 "general admission" and 2 "front row seat", etc)

With the authorize.net integration, which integration method is used (so we know whether we will need an SSL certificate)?

When tickets are purchased (either with authorize.net or Paypal), can the item name in the purchase contain the specific event and ticket type? (i.e. not something generic like "Our Website Event Ticket", but something very specific like "Comedy Night 2015-2-12 Front Row Ticket" etc)? (This will be needed for record-keeping and financial tracking).

Hello,

You create one type of template. But you can have a select list for the ticket type and then have the selection output on the ticket.

You can then use the Add Guest function to add multiple tickets buy selecting the fields apply to each individual.

We use the method which passes you to Authorize.net so no need for SSL. although when taking peoples information it is always highly recommend and Google now 'improve' rankings for HTTPS based websites.

Yep they sure can.

You can see:

Many thanks
Tony

You can set checkboxes or select boxes with different options in the registration form which can modify the value. Also this can be configured per "guest" or "ticket" basis. You can find this implemented in the our Conference site demo: http://beach.jeventsdemo.net/tickets When you click on "Add Guest" you get another tab for adding a new assitant and there you will find a "companion" option which we set to decrease the value of that specific ticket.

The value of the item will be: Name of the event - Date of the event. I think that is what you need ;)

Best!!

OK thanks very much for the info.

Two more questions, just to clarify for myself:

*) regarding multiple purchases - this isn't quite the same as your demo, of course, so I just want to be sure before I promise my client something. So I would want to have tickets like:
Front Row Seat - $50
General Admission - $10
and then when a frontend user is on the "buy tickets" form, they'd want to be able to set the qty of "Front Row Seat" tickets to (for example) 2, and "General Admission" tickets to (for example) 4. Then pay $140 all at once with one transaction.

*) You are right that <name of event - date of event> is what we want for the item name, but if we have multiple types of tickets then we'd want that to also be on the item name, i.e. "Comedy Night 2015-01-25 Front Row Seat". Is that possible?

Thanks again.

Hello,

1) You can create a select list and set it as:

Front Row Seat
Front Row Seats ( x2)
Front Row Seats ( x3)

And set a price for each option.

2) Yes it sure can and is customisable.

Thanks
Tony
