Hi, would like to know if the silver membership for Jevents will suit my needs.
The calendar I need should:

Support one calendar per user (aprox 1000 users). Is there a limit on the amount of users ?

It must differentiate between registered users, and calendar owners (how will also be registered)
Calendar owners should have a joomla article with the calendar embedded, and normal registered users should be able to appoint on free time slots, but they should only see available time slots, not the ones already used.

The calendar owner should receive an email (and in a future an SMS) when that happens, and should be able to acept, deny or re-schedule the registered event.

The user who wants to register to an available hour, must only see the available hours, not the already registered events.

Must be good looking, even on mobile phones.

The calendar owners should be able to sync to their calendars on mobile phones like iphone and android

How much is the cost for support once the 6 months support time has elapsed ?
The membership is one time only ?

Thanks, Robert.

Hello Robert,

No problem at all. Thanks for getting in touch.

Nope unlimited users, you can actually just use the Joomla ACL to control the usergroups access etc.

Calendar owners with joomla article? Umm this is a little bit more complicated. I cannot see how it is possible, Should the article be different for every user? or is it generic? if so we could implement a custom html module on a JEvents Menu Item in a Custom JEvents Position.

You can use RSVP Pro and create a template assign a drop down in hour format and set the capacity of that field to 1 so it will be removed when used.

Using the latest Flat layout is responsive. Although you may need some customisation with your template which we are generally happy to help with.

Syncing is possible with the JEvents iCalendar Export Menu Item.

You can renew your membership :).

Thanks
Tony

OK great.

Well actually as I'm starting with Joomla perhaps this is not the best way of doing it.
But yes, the calendar owner should have his own article, and only one, and in some place there should be the calendar. Perhaps in a module at the left or right, it doesn't have to be embedded in the article itself if it's difficult to implement, but it should be visible only when the registered user opens the article. Perhaps there are more professional ways of doing it, I will have to test.

You can use RSVP Pro and create a template assign a drop down in hour format and set the capacity of that field to 1 so it will be removed when used.
OK, so I will need help with this then.

That would be nice, even If I know a bit of html and understands the basis of php, the amount of options of joomla and plugings, etc, is overwhelming at first !

Syncing is possible with the JEvents iCalendar Export Menu Item.

And the sync works in a way so that if the calendar owner syncs it's calendar with this one, every registered event will be notified and added to his mobile calendar as well ? Or it's a file that you export and have to load to your mobile once in a while ?

Thanks for your answers Tony

Hello,

What will change on each article? I'm just trying to understand the logistics of this and why you would want it?

The RSVP Pro document should cover it. Basically you create one event and call it 'book' or whatever is relevant and apply the RSVP Pro Template you created to it.

If you subscribe rather than download a file then yes. Although you wouldn't be notified. You could use the new event and event change notifications plugin for that.

Thanks
Tony

The idea is that each "calendar owner" user has an article in which he put information about him, like a small presentation. This information will rarely change but it's unique to each owner. The owner should have permission to modify it, I did this by allowing only this user to modify the article. And also the administrator will have the possibility of course. The center piece here is the article and the calendar should be embedded on it, or on a module at the left, right, etc.

OK I will have to read more about this.

OK so lets say the calendar owner subscribe to the calendar and a new event is added by a registered user, you say that the calendar owner will not be notified this way ?, but it could be using another plugin. Using that plugin updates the calendar on the mobile phone of the owner ? Or just sends an email, etc. ?

Thanks for being with me through this.
Regards, Robert.
