Hi - I am trying to implement JEvents in a website and have created a couple of test events, one of which recurs every day for 50 days. The calendar view shows this recurring fine and the calendar popup tooltip shows the event as a "repeating event". However, the list view does not show the repeat summary. It is blank. I have the "show repeat summary" option switched to yes. Can anyone provide any more help?

Hello,

Can you clarify on what exactly you are expecting to see? Can we see a link?

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony - I guess I am not entirely sure what I would be expecting to see. Maybe some text that says "event repeats weekly for X weeks" or something. Is that not what it should say? What would you expect it to say when there are events such as that? The table produced from 4 different events is here (mindfulness-skills4life(dot)co(dot)uk(slash)index(dot)php(slash)booking(slash)upcoming-courses) briefly. For clarity, the top three events are all repeating events, in that they have somewhere between 6-50 different repeating elements. THe bottom one (taster session) is a one off. But the "repeat summary" is the same for each i.e. blank. Is this correct?

Hello,

The repeatsummary is actually the time frame summary of the repeat in question. It provides an individual start/end date/time. Opposed to the master events.

You can so each individual repeat within the list if thats what you would like?

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony - thanks for your prompt reply. I guess I thought that "repeat summary" would be a summary of what the repeating pattern was. So that I could show only the first date of a repeating event and then have it say somewhere that "this event repeats each Wednesday for 8 weeks" or similar. But I see that this is not the case. No worries, the fallback option is to put this information in the description or extra info field so that I can display it anyway... thanks!
