Is it possible ot create events, like a band 1st in London from 12-15/06 2nd 16-19/06 in Paris etc ?
When the event expires to drop it self ?
Can i create boards by country / city ?
Is it possible by using members IPs to show events by country ?
Is it possible to create featured lists ? By City / country ?
Is it possible to make it work with Jreviews , so events (listings of an owner) can be reviewed ?

Hello,

1. Yes, you would just create multiple events as they are at different locations. but you can copy and edit an event to save time typing etc. Then you could use the related events plugin to find by name and list the next events underneath the event details.

2. If you use the JEvent Timelimit plugin you can set it to not show the events on the frontend past X amount of days.

3. What are you refering to as Boards? You can create locations which have country/city and events can be filtered by country/city.

4. You can use the JEvents Maps layout and have a view showing the locations of the events taking place near them. It's called a Geofilter, Geraint is working on the GeoIP filter but I'm not 100% of the progress of this.

5. Yes it sure is

6. I am not familiar with JReviews and we don't have an integration, although JReviews might provide a button to allow linking an article/item to the review page?

Thanks
Tony

Jreviews works like articles, every listing is an article but you can add review.
I want to create Events for every article,is this possible you think ?

Hello,

You can create an article from an event, but not an event from an article. Although you can link an event to an article?

This is all done with the JEvents Agenda and Minutes plugin.

Many thanks
Tony

This is not what i want,
i have an adult site with escorts,
the escorts (listings / articles ) are traveling to cities for a period of time (events),
now when somebody want to add a review the review must go to the escort (listing/ article ) not the event.
The links should work BUT the events must belong to the listing (escort or escort agency)so every listing can add edit etc their events.
From joomla the owners of the listings can edit them, i believe the same is for events too but they must be able to add events only for the listings that they belong to them.

What do you think is this possible ?

Are you using a CCK such as K2 or Zoo? If so then you could use the JEvents plugin to link these listings to events and use the reviews for the listing pages

Jreviews functions as a CCK component? Would it be possible to create a plugin similar to what you have for SobiPro, K2 and ZOO? I would like to allow users who manage jreviews listings on my site to have the ability to create events for their listings and have the upcoming events display on the listing detail page. I know there are quite a few users out there with jreviews looking for an events solution to integrate with. Just take a look at the jreviews forum.

the problem is that jReviews is not open-source/GPL and was encoded last time I looked at it so we have been unable to develop an integration.

Hi Geraint, I believe jreviews has opened things up a bit to allow better integration with 3rd party modules. I, and quite a few people use jreviews for listings and need to integrate an event system that would allow listing owners to add events. I guess this would be similar to what you are doing with SobiPro. Is this something you could look at again and see if it would be possible to create and sell? I could probably get some people to pitch in if this became a supported add-on.

Hi,

I have 3 presales question:

1) do language of jevents change authomatically when I change in front end joomla language (using the Joomla Standard Plugin Language switcher, that is the standard flags in joomla multilanguage sites)?

2) I have a nice template in my website abcmaremma.it, can I use jevents in my template? My tamplate is a Joomla Bamboo Template, that use Joomla Zen Tools for slideshow, menus etc.
I can ask also to Joomla Bamboo forum, but I think it's better asking here.

3) can I set some categories of events for free, and set in the same site for other kind of events, a paypal payment?

I'm from Italy, so sorry form mistakes in my english.

Thank you in advance and have a nice day!!!

Cheers
Silvia

As long as you have the joomla language filter enabled the JEvents interface will change language for you. We also support translation of events and layouts.

Should work fine - at worst you may need some CSS overrides if there are minor style clashes

RSVP Pro (our gold member addon) allows you to charge attendees for events with ticketing, custom fields, reminders and invitations built in.

I would suggest you try it and if it doesn't do what you want then you can request a refund.
