Hi Guys,
I want to have a (rsvp) invitation button on a single event page or on the event list page so that the user can subscribe to further events of this category. is it possible?

Hello,

Is this to register for events? IF so no, if it's not notifications about new events into a category you could use the JEvents Event notifications plugin and module so the users can select what categories they want to be notified about events for.

Many thanks
Tony

Please see:

And you can use the module to allow users to subscribe.

Many thanks

thnx for your answer tonyp, I puplished the subscription module but is it only for logged in users? I would like it to work without subscription so that user can fill in his email address for instance. does this work?
I have also activated the plugin but what does it do? I cant see any effect at least not in frontend.

Hello,

At present it is for logged in users only. This is because you could suddenly find yourself FULL of spam emails being notified and will then cause you to be blacklisted when emailing.

You could look at using AcyMailing and sending a round up email weekly? Acymailing is a full newsletter integration system, so you can have email based registrations confirm their emails etc.

Many thanks
Tony
