Hi,

just some pre-sales questions.
I need to let users:
input their events and i'd like them to select, via popup, the sobipro entries they created;
to select some options by a conditional dropdown (they choose an option, after that they can choose another option connected to the first choosen);
to choose a date for a repeating event, without having to choose the end date (i don't know is it's automatic);

Thanks!

You would create the event in JEvents and then within the event editing page select the relevant SobiPro listing.

Note that the CCK plugin has a script that you can use to import your SOBIPro events into JEvents but it requires a little bit of coding to configure it to match your Sobi setup

Hello, I have similar question about the CCK Sobi Pro Link Add On.

If I have events listing section in Sobi Pro as well as Jevents and the CCK link installed...
Where do my users create an event? In Jevents form or Sobi Form? It almost sound like, from the answer above, that you have to create the Sobi event, and then create a Jevent and link the two but this seems like a two step process that is complicated for users.

If you could kindly explain how this add on works--can you create a sobi pro event that displays on the Jevents calendar using Sobi's date field?
Or can you create a Jevent event and the event information is stored as a Sobi entry?
Or, none of the above? :)
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You can indeed show events within a sobi listing which are related to that event.

Thanks
Tony

What I mean is that custom fields 'field1', 'field2' and 'field3' could apply to events in category 'sport' and fields 'field1', 'field4' and 'field5' could apply to events in category 'dance' i.e. some fields can be in common to categories and some unique.

When you edit an event you select the category/categories the event falls into using a select box.

Silver subscription is what you would need.

Hi,

thanks for the answer!
So i can have the conditional fields with the categories?
I don't need it for the custom fields, but only category-subcategory.
If it's ok, how do i insert the categories with a dropdown menu?

The silver subscription is enough for me?

1. With the silver member CCK addon you can associated SobiPro entries with your events - by default only allowing the selection from your own SobiPro listings

2. With the custom fields addon you can custom fields to your events and you can make these conditional fields category specific BUT there is no conditionality relationships supported between specific custom field values

3. The end date is auto adjusted to match the start date when you create an event in the future (and you can then of course amend this to create multi-day events) and you have a LOT of scope for defining all sorts of repeating event patterns. This is a feature of the free version of JEvents
