I have a menu item "List by Category".

1. By default only 10 items are listed. Where can I change this default value?
2. The "Display Num" selector is labelled in English. How can I change this label to German?

Thank you and kind regards
Chris

Hello,

1. -> JEvents Configuration -> Calendar/List/Category View
2. Have you applied the frontend German Language page to Joomla! and JEvents?

Many thanks
Tony

Sorry I am not able to find this setting. In JEvents Config I have

Component
Permissions
Event Editing
Event Detail View
Main Monthly Calendar
Year/Category/Range View
Ical Import/Export
RSS
SEF/Performance Options
Module Config
JEvents Plugin Options

but no "Calendar/List/Category View".

Have you applied the frontend German Language page to Joomla! and JEvents?

Yes. the default language is set to German for both "Site" and "Administrator". Most of the terms are in German, only the pagination button shows "Display Num". I tried adding a language override, but the term "Display Num" cannot be found. It looks as if it is hard coded.

Kind regards
Christof

Sorry I didn't look for the exact name at time of writing the correct wording would be:

Year/Category/Range View

That is strange. Did you check backend language strings too? And also check the english and german language files?

Many thanks
Tony

Thank you very much. It seems as if I was beaten with blindness. This is ok now.

I checked both "Site" and "Administrator" language overrides. I also searched the files

administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jevents.sys.ini
administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jevents.menu.ini
administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jevents.ini
language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jevents.ini

for the string "Display Num" but could not find it. I wonder where this term comes from. Even stranger: I have another website where the pagination button shows "Anzahl #" which is partly German. But I have no overrides there and this term cannot be found neither in the German nor in the English language files *jevents*. I guess there are some more language files somewhere?!

Kind regards
Christof

With Protostar no button is displayed at all. Which is not so bad, because I want all items to be displayed by default anyway. The button's behaviour is somehow strange. The first time you visit the page, the button shows "Display Num = All". Then you select for example "Display Num = 10". This works ok. Now switch back to "Display Num = All". The button disappears.

I added now

div.limit {
display: none;
}

to the Jevents Custom CSS File. This should hide the button in any case. For me, the issue is resolved now. Thank you for your help.

Kind regards
Christof

Hello Christof,

The list is hidden by default if the events shown are less than the limit :-).

Many thanks
Tony
