I am trying to install the Jevents 3.4.17 update. and receive a 500 internal server error. I am running Joomla 3.6 with Jevents 3.4.13. I am trying to update Jevents from the Joomla Extension updates menu.

Hello,

Please enable Joomla! Debug mode, maximum error reporting and try again.

Many thanks

I enabled debug mode and set error reporting to maximum and I get the same error:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

This could possibly be you running out of memory - in your phpinfo how much memory is allocated to PHP?

Not sure, is there a way that I can check that on a hosted server? (1and1.com)

Found it, 256M. Does this need to be changed and if so can you give instructions?

Thanks,
Dan

Hello Dan,

No that should be way more than enough.

Can you please check for an error_log file in your Joomla! root and administrator directory?

Is there anything in them?

Many thanks
Tony
