Before I had installed the Standard Image and File Upload plugin in order to enable the Slideshow module, my events had incorporated an IMG tag with the description field. With the upload plugin, I've had to delete the IMG tags within the description field so that the images do not show up twice.
Now I have an issue where the uploaded image is at the bottom of the event detail page, rather than toward the top. The ordering of the details right now are:
Is there a way to change the uploaded image location so that it appears above the description?

Yes you certainly can. You need to enable the JEvents custom layout and just re-order the page as you desire.
