Hi

I'm looking to develop a community site that will provide the following:

A club can register and provide their user profile details (Community Builder)
Each user profile features an Events Calendar and a Google Map which pinpoints where each event is held. I want these to display under a users profile, either in a tabbed pane within CB or a module immediately under their profile.

A separate Event Calendar page features events for the entire community (preferably searchable by club, date or location)

Also, a separate Google Maps page features events for the entire community (preferably searchable by club, date or location)

I have worked with JEvents in the past and believe it can integrate with CB, so perhaps this is a solution, however I want something that a user can administer from the frontend, all within the same component if possible.

I have also worked with Geommunity which works well for placing a users location on a map within CB, but I'm unsure if it can do so for events? It appears JEvents now has this feature.

Here's what I'm trying to achieve...
<!-- w -->www.flashpoint.net.au/motorheads/<!-- w -->

Any advice appreciated...

The map wouldbe based on the venue of the event (using the locations addon) - you and your users would build a list of venues that can be associated with events.

The CB profile page can show a list of upcoming events that the user has created (or is attending based on how you configure the plugins) and also there is a private event option where users can maek events as private to themselves.

You could use the managed people addon to show information abuot the clubs and link these to events (and then search for matching events)

So all in all quite feasibleusing silver member addons (gold if you want event registration)

Thanks Geraint,

Event Registration might be useful. Is it possible to upgrade from silver to gold if required?

Yes - and you will get a substantial discount on the gold membership when doing so. Though the longer you wait the smaller the discount (if you see what I mean).
