We've had JEvents running for eight years or so, but our members have just started to use it. Today I, and another Admin got an email message that a new event was added. Where do I configure the recipients for the notification?

Using version J3.6.46 stable.

In JEvents config - event editing tab -> "Notify JEvents Admin and Category Admin?" The message is configured at the bottom of this tab

I see that you can select 'JEvents Admin', 'Category Admin' or both, or none; and below set the text of the message.

I guess my real question is where are the names/emails of those Admins found and set?

I can see where to edit the message, but I want to know how to change the recipients of that message.

I see the location to modify the message, but I can't find where the recipients are configured.

Admin user is the main JEvents admin on permissions tab of JEvents config.

Category admins are set on the options tab when you edit a JEvents category

There is also a club member addon called 'Events Notifications' that enables the sites to

  • Send email notifications to the users of your site whenever an event is: Created, published, unpublished or modified.
  • Choose which users groups sends notification to for each action
  • Configure different notifications messages for each action
  • Configure a little email queue for sending the notification emails
  • A Module to allow users to select which categories they want to receive notifications from.
  • To enable automatic mail queue processing you need a cronjob tool
  • To allow users to select which categories they want to receive notifications from you need to install and enable the Notifications Module (Available in the events notification downloads page).
