I want to make a couple more changes to the dates formatting. Specifically, for the list of today's events, I want it to say "Today" instead of the today's date, and similarly "This Week", and "This Month". (Other days, weeks, and month will display the dates, dates of the week, and month name as usual.)
Can you point me to a discussion regarding this if there is one? If there isn't, can you point somewhere in the right direction, even if you can give me the keywords to search on google.
I hope my question makes sense.

Ok so this isn't an easy one to do. You will need to create a template override for each view. Then use PHP and compare the current date to the date of the current view.
So you will need to do a Template override, please see:

And then go from there with PHP.
