I have used Jevents on Joomla platforms in the past and always found them to be very user friendly and stable, and I especially like that the event automatically will drop off the frontend when it hits the "until" date.
We are currently running a Joomla 3.4.1 site with Jevent 3.2 and have had my first ever issue.
The event "expired" but has not disappeared from the frontend's Upcoming Events but is missing from the Event Summary so I can not "trash" it manually. The event is not in the trash bin either. I've added other event notices without difficulty. Can I recover the event for deletion?
Thanks in advance.
John

Hello John,

In the backend did you set 'Hide Past Events' to 'No' to view it?

Thanks
Tony

Thanks, Tonyp but unfortunately your 'Hide Past Events' suggestion didn't resolve my problem. the event is still not in the Event Summary or Trash so no action can be taken.

Hello,

If you go into JEvents -> Config and save it. It should then re-categorise any events with issues like yours and place them in an orphans category.

It will provide a notice after saving the config if it has found any.

Thanks
Tony

Once again Thanks but no joy. The Config-> Save didn't give me any notice and nothing has changed on the Front End and the event still provides all the details when you click on it there. The code must be held somewhere on the Front End? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

TonyP, let me first apologize and then explain something weird about this issue.
The first advice you gave was spot on and the problem has been corrected.
Here's the weird part, there appears to be something wrong with my home computer because no matter how many times I tried your advice my computer simply would not show any Past Events?
I was at my work yesterday and used my workstation there and first try the matter resolved itself just as you indicated. Both PCs run Chrome and Windows 8 so I'm not sure what's going on there but at least I know what to do if it happens again. Thanks, John

Hello John,

I suspect you have some caching enabled on your home computers browser. Make sure to clear this :-).

Many thanks
Tony
