Hello,

My client is looking to forge a CRM, appointment booking and Invoicing system composed of JEvents and Hikashop.

She is a nutritionist and has 4 employees. Each of them consults regularly with assigned clients.

1) Can JEvents let employees create events that are linked to Joomla users? Ie: Could an admin create an event, assign ownership to an employee and link the event to a Joomla! user?
(why? because Joomla! users can be linked to orders/invoices in hikashop)

2) Can employees be restricted to only view/edit/delete the their OWN events?

If the JEvents core functionality cannot provide this, is there an addon?

note: the Managed People / Resources addon mentions managing users...but are they Joomla! users or only a "JEvents" list of users?

Thanks

Hello,

1) Yes the super admin can change the event creator.

2) Yes they can too! You can use the JEvents User Specific Events for this where they can create a private event just for them or public. You can then have menu items which show events to only show their events.

You would need RSVP Pro and User Specific Events Plugin which are both available to the Gold members.

Managed People could work. But for your scenario it's probably just best using Joomla! users and setting them as creators.

Many thanks
Tony

Thanks for the quick response.

"...just best using Joomla! users and setting them as creators"

I am not sure I explained properly, then:

The admin needs to be able to book an appointment between an employee and a client, both of which are Joomla! users. If the admin creates an event and assigns the employee as the creator, is there a way to link the event to a Joomla! user?

Since all appointments will be billed through Hikashop (and Hikashop uses Joomla! users), I need a way to link customer appointments (JEvents) to invoices (HKS) using Joomla! users.

Thanks again.

Hello,

You would create an event and set the creator as the Employee. Then create an RSVP Pro session and add a new 'Attendee' who would be the Client. The only issue with this, is Hikashop, the client would need to visit the event and finish the checkout process to pass the information to Hikashop.

Many thanks
Tony

Sorry, my mistake - Hikashop is only used in the backend for this type of billing. Only the admin, for now, will create events.

I demo'ed the backend of RSVP Pro and saw, in the config area, that registration could be forced and I am assuming it uses the Joomla! users, is this correct?

Thanks for the support
