Credit card payment with Stripe: Legal concerns

Have you updated to the latest version of RSVP? Stripe SCA was implemented in the 3.7.4 release.

Yes, I have the current version. I re-installed RSVP, but still no SCA functionality... do I have to activate it somewhere?

No, there is nothing you need to do to activate it. As long as the card issuer supports SCA it will automatically be invoked. Not all issuers support it yet though.

I tried with my personal card, which definitely supports SCA. I also tried with a card of one of my collegues, also SCA supported.
In both cases, I paid an amount of over 50 € and still there is no SCA security check whatsoever.

The tiny form popup doesn´t look very trustworthy and doesn´t make the impression to have a SCA functionality. Could you have a look at the attached image - does it look the same for you?

But this is an essential and legally necessary function - without it, the whole component doesn´t make sense. What could be the problem here?

That is the correct popup. Might I suggest you place Stripe in sandbox mode (with your sandbox api keys), and try one of the test credit cards that support SCA from the Stripe developers list: https://stripe.com/docs/testing#regulatory-cards

Everything works in Sandbox mode, also SCA works well.

I created a new API secret key for live mode, but the problem here won´t disappear. No 3D secure process at checkout.

Is this a problem caused by Jev or could it be a Stripe problem?

Afraid I don't know. It works on my system just fine. Can you use the same card on other systems and SCA works? If so then I suspect you will need to contact Stripe.

So this is an issue at the Stripe end. Essentially in live, they are not checking for 3D Secure. I would suggest contacting them and requesting they enable 3DS on your account. The fact it works in the sandbox is the giveaway since the only things that changed really are the keys and URL to stripe.
