Another way to represent an annual event is to use the "yearly" repeat pattern. You need to remember the effect of leap years when you do this.
This is Valentine's Day (14 February each year)

If you are entering an annual event after the 28 February each year then remember that the day count in the year will be different every 4 years. You should therefore choose to count back from the year end.
