Sorry, this may be an incredibly naive question, but I have searched and haven't seen it asked before. I have two remote calendars linked in to JEvents via anon refresh; the owners/managers of the remote calendars would like to have a button on the website's front end, so that they can upload changes to their google calendars as soon as they do them (rather than having to wait for the next cron job synchronisation). The back-end has Update buttons for the calendars on the Manage Calendar page, but the calendar owners would really prefer not to have to learn the internals of Joomla. Is it possible to put similar Update buttons on the front end? If so, how?

Edit the calendar in the backend of JEvents and enable anonymous refresh

then in the list of calendars you will see an anonymous update link

you could add a button/link with this URL on your site BUT make it accessible ONLY to a restricted set of users
