Screenshot 1 shows the same users 2 events side by side. Washington Township Paw Park, and the Washington Township Park.

Screenshot 2 is the event detail of both. Paw park on left, and Park on right, but as you can see, in the upcoming events area there only showing the repeat. Shouldn't it be showing them both in each other?

Screenshot 3 is view all events here link for both. Paw park on left, and Park on right. Again, this link should show all the users events on this calendar right? I notice the item id and the fv=id are different in each, but the location as well as the event are both created by the same user.

This is what I notice in the address bar for Paw Park the fv=
is different. Paw park

This is what I notice in the address bar for Park the fv=is different.

This one doesn't even show the upcoming events although this event repeats. Is there something I'm doing during creation of a user or a location that is causing this? I edit on the back end a lot for users, so is that causing problems?

Hello,

So let me get this right. You want to show in each side the upcoming events of that location only?

What code are you using to load in the two upcoming events?

Many thanks
Tony

I guess I'm trying to ask "shouldn't any event created by a user show up on one calendar"? And that calendar is their unique calendar based on the fv=

Does that make sense? When someone signs up, they get a unique calendar My Planner, but if they post an event, don't they also get another calendar unique to their user name showing the fv= And that calendar is the one that all their events go on that they post right then when clicking the link in the upcoming events part within the event details it shows all the events that user has coming up on the main calendar.

How come the above posts are on 2 different calendars if it's the same user? the fv= are both different, but it's the same user.

The code I'm using to load the upcoming events is the code that is in the drop down within the custom layouts page....

Sorry Brandon, I am not following the issue exactly... Is it because it's showing the same event on multiple days? You would prefer to show it only once?

No problem. If you you look at the first post with the 3 attachments, you'll see that those are 2 different events, but by the same person and they are not showing up on the same "unique" url calendar. I'm assuming that the fv= is the "unique" id for a user. All the locations and events have the user name under the creation, so I don't understand ( and need to know how to avoid) why all of their events aren't on the same calendar of upcoming events.

Yeah, I understand what the location ID is, but don't understand how events for the same creator are showing up on 2 separate ID's. They should all be showing up on one ID, right?

Thought: If I create the location on the backend, then try to assign it to a user who signs up later (by selecting the creator on the backend) is that what is causing the events to be on different calendars since the user gets a unique id when they sign up?

If you are filtering the events to a user location...

I'm not filtering the events to a user location that I'm aware of. I've just noticed that if I create a location on the backend, and then try to set it to a user, the events don't show up on their ID. It's like they have 2 ID's or more. How can I fix that? Shouldn't the events show up on one ID calendar for the user when I assign the location to them? See screen shot.

Hi Brandon,
this looks like a bit complex to understand in our end despite your detailed explanation and screenshots (we do appreciate that, it makes things easier in any case!!)

Let me come back to your first post to see if we can get to the solution:

Screenshot 2 is the event detail of both. Paw park on left, and Park on right, but as you can see, in the upcoming events area there only showing the repeat. Shouldn't it be showing them both in each other?

I think that Screenshot is referring to the location Detail (otherwise please give us a link to check) so the related events showing there are specific for each location.

Screenshot 3 is view all events here link for both. Paw park on left, and Park on right. Again, this link should show all the users events on this calendar right? I notice the item id and the fv=id are different in each, but the location as well as the event are both created by the same user.

It depends on where did you get to that calendar. The fv parameter is added as a mean to show only events in a specific locations to a user and it's added to the link according to where it's. For instance from the location detail page, the link to the calendar showing with the latest events part will include that parameter.

That makes sense. I'm not sure why it took me so long to understand that. Sorry for wasting everyone's time!

Ok, sorry to re-open this, but this is what I was meaning originally.

Screenshot 1 shows the event details with the View All Events (full calendar) here link but doesn't show the events for that location.

Screenshot 2 shows the calendar from the View All...link
Screenshot 3 shows the next month with more events created at this Location.

So, what I was originally trying to say was that the events at the location are not showing up in the Upcoming Events although there are clearly events at this Location.

Thanks for the detective work!!

It's funny. I have looked for the specific URL in your site and it shows all the events:

https://www.knowyourfun.com/index.php/icalrepeat.detail/2017/05/26/352251/-/central-park-concert-series-parrots-of-the-caribbean

This might be related to how you get to the event url. Can you please provide the process you follow to get to the URL?

Well I just tried to re-create the steps, but now it's showing all the events. But normally, I went to the site, logged in (if not already) then went to My Calendar (My Planner) and clicked on the saved event, then in the Event Details under the Upcoming Events section, it didn't show them. Now it is showing them. So if you fixed it somehow, then thank you! But if you didn't, then I don't know what to say! LOL! I can keep my eyes peeled for another instance and then let you know I guess.

Ok, now it's doing it again. I simply went to My Calendar and clicked the event and as you can see from the screenshot, they are not showing again.

Here is the direct link Title

Here is the link that you sent above, but as you can see, the events are showing. Title

The only difference I can see in the url is the www. before knowyourfun.com where as the link that shows the events does not have the www before.

I still cannot reproduce the issue but giving the case that it happens sometimes I'm pretty sure this has to do with some session filtering (or even geolocation)... Can you please login and log out in the frontend (this will clean your Joomla! Session settings) and login with the credentials your provide here to see if you can reproduce the issue? If you are able to replicate the issue, please let me know your geolocation (latitude and longitude) as it might be some issue with geolocation...
