Undefined variable rand error

Hello,

i have updated to Joomla 3.6 and now I get an undefined variable error on the event page:

Notice: Undefined variable: rand in /home/ftp***/http/components/com_jevents/views/default/helpers/defaultloadedfromtemplate.php on line 1260

One notice: I wasn't able to install the german language pack - joomla tells me it is acitvated, then 1 minute later it appears again as possible update.
