Before I decide to start using JEvents, I would like to know if it is possible for the calendar to get the list of events to display from a REST Web Service via XML. Is this functionally provided out of the box?

Thanks.

Thanks. I am assuming that this has a database back-end that I can easily access though, correct? Do you foresee any issues with me inserting event records directly in the database bypassing the UI?

Hello,

Yes it is possible. But you would need to make sure you are setting a lot of records and creating the repeat patterns correctly.

If you can generate an ics or .csv file from the .xml file this can then be automated from the file via cronjob.

Many thanks
Tony
