Hi there,

I am building a new social network and I have a few pre-sales questions if its possible to get answers for.

1. With the Jomsocial integration, is it possible to have jomsocial users create their own events and set them as either public or private
2. Is it possible to limit the appearance of people's events so they do not show up on the public news feed in jomsocial (but the users' friends will still see they created an event)
3. With RSVP Pro, is it possible to set a booking fee on the ticket prices. How is the booking fee paid to the site administrator, and how is the ticket sale amount paid to the event creator (namely if using paypal as the payment gateway)
4. Will each event get its own SEF URL so users can share the link to the event (such as paid events, so people have somewhere to go to buy tickets)
5. Again with RSVP Pro, is there an option for the event creator to choose the currency that they want their tickets charged in?
6. Is there an option to allow the user to choose the location from an integrated Google Maps location (as opposed to the Managed Locations option)
7. Is there the option of, when it integrates with Jomsocial, if the user clicks on "Event" on their status update section of the jomsocial news feed, it redirects to JEvents instead of creating the event in Jomsocial events?
8. As i'm hoping this website will be worldwide, is there a way to limit the events lists/calendars to only those the jomsocial user has been invited to / attending / not attending / maybe attending, rather than showing the entire calendar of every event created?
9. With the QR codes, is there an app on the apple app store / google play store that the users can use in conjunction with the QR codes to validate them?

I'm sure i'll have more questions, but thats all i can think of now :)

Thanks
Adam

1. With the Jomsocial integration, is it possible to have jomsocial users create their own events and set them as either public or private

Yes - with the Specific User Events plugin your event creators can mark their JEvents events as public or private to themselves (or private to their JomSocial friends or co-group members).

2. Is it possible to limit the appearance of people's events so they do not show up on the public news feed in jomsocial (but the users' friends will still see they created an event)

The activity feed will show the title of the event and a link to the event detail page.

3. With RSVP Pro, is it possible to set a booking fee on the ticket prices. How is the booking fee paid to the site administrator, and how is the ticket sale amount paid to the event creator (namely if using paypal as the payment gateway)

We have been working on implementing PayPal Adaptive payments which would allow payments to 2 payees but this is not yet available. so the payment currently will only go to the event creator.

4. Will each event get its own SEF URL so users can share the link to the event (such as paid events, so people have somewhere to go to buy tickets)

Each event has its own link using the JEvents SEF Url

5. Again with RSVP Pro, is there an option for the event creator to choose the currency that they want their tickets charged in?

Yes

6. Is there an option to allow the user to choose the location from an integrated Google Maps location (as opposed to the Managed Locations option)

which integrated google maps location?

7. Is there the option of, when it integrates with Jomsocial, if the user clicks on "Event" on their status update section of the jomsocial news feed, it redirects to JEvents instead of creating the event in Jomsocial events?

Yes

8. As i'm hoping this website will be worldwide, is there a way to limit the events lists/calendars to only those the jomsocial user has been invited to / attending / not attending / maybe attending, rather than showing the entire calendar of every event created?

You can create menu items where only events being attended are visible, you can make events private to inviteess only

9. With the QR codes, is there an app on the apple app store / google play store that the users can use in conjunction with the QR codes to validate them?

There are many - I tend to use QR droid. Any of the apps that interpret the QR code as a URL should work.

Thanks for that info.

Is there a prediction on when adaptive payments may be available, or any way to monetise the ticket sales through jevents without actually charging users to add events?

Also, is it possible to customise the tickets that are sent out so they have the event photo in the header / at the top of the ticket?

Thanks

Tickets can be customised for each event.

Adaptive payments are probably Q1-2015 being realistic.
