[*:2fh3vi9s]and a list view with little bit more details to set?[/*:m:2fh3vi9s]
[*:2fh3vi9s]a "search page" with a list view of the events and a map where all events are show with a marker and the possibility to filter it down by category, name, location (with distance) and date? the map will than show the filtered events only. the feature "get directions" should be available here too.[/*:m:2fh3vi9s]
[*:2fh3vi9s]can i mix/customize the layouts? for example mix the map layout with extplus and tweak it to match my needs?[/*:m:2fh3vi9s]
[*:2fh3vi9s]each event should have also a map on the detail page with "get directions" feature. possible?[/*:m:2fh3vi9s]
[*:2fh3vi9s]event frontend submission by anonymous user with a form. This event should be approved, edited and published by admin. with e-mail notification to admin and submitter.[/*:m:2fh3vi9s]
[*:2fh3vi9s]no popups or modals to achieve features or show details and other info.[/*:m:2fh3vi9s][/list:u:2fh3vi9s]

Hello Brarev,

Thanks for contacting us and welcome to JEvents!

1. Can you explain what you mean by a pure list?
2. You can do this via the the JEvents Custom Layouts -> List Row
3. Just use a JEvents List page, with the Map view enabled using managed locations and add a JEvents Filter Module to the page.
4. Yes, you can set JEvents Themes on menu items and modules.
5. This is part of the Managed Locations Component.
6. You will need the JEvents Anonymous user creation plugin for this.
7. Modals are required for adding and selecting locations when creating events.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,
perfect. thank you very much for your quick reply.
with a pure list I meant a list that is very basic containing only the event name for example. but i guess this is also handled by JEvents Custom Layouts -> List Row.
modals in that case are ok.
what if I use anonymous frontend submit when the location does not exist. is that possbile?
and the get directions part is very important. can you confirm that its included in these cases?
and are the user takes to google or is it handled inside the website?
Many thanks,
brarev

Hello Brarev,

Exactly, or you could create a jevents Latest Events module and only include the title.

You can control who can create locations. You can click through to Google to get the directions.

Many thanks
Tony

Hello Brarev,

Not at present. I'll message Carlos to see if he has any plans to implement it as he is the main developer of the managed locations component.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Brarev,
there has not been any request about this lately, but it's something we can consider for locations manager 3.5. Do you have any link we can take a look at in which it shows what you have in mind?

Hi,
thanks. Sure. I have an exmape from an extension that solves it in two different ways.
under http://review.styleware.eu/
you see a multi marker map that makes it possible to select the desired locatoin together with distance and direction.
a single marker map is shown here
http://review.styleware.eu/zurich/hotel ... iott-hotel
both load the directions underneath the map

This as an option would be great.
Thanks and kind regards
