Hello,
For a site, i use Flexicontent and Jevents (full version).
A question : is this possible to create a content in Joomla that automatically create an event in JEvents ??
If yes, how to achieve this ?

Thanks !

Hello Xavier,

There is no way to create an event from an article it's missing way to much information.

As stated with the above addon the users can create the event and then the article from the event. So what you want but in reverse, instead of the article they create an event first.

Many thanks
Tony

Hello Xavier,

I am afraid not. You could create an event and then a Joomla! article from that event using the Agenda / Minutes plugin see:
https://www.jevents.net/products-new/addons/silver-addons/item/agenda-minutes-article-2

Many thanks

Is there any suggestion or advice to try to "tend" to this ?
I explain why i ask this.
On the site, there is some news, created as content. Some news are "global" (news) and other are news related to an special event. For these "special" event, people ask me to automatically create the event to link the content to the event (yes i read what you wrote me as this is not possible :)
If this is not possible, how people can work to have the lesser work possible ? No way or way ? :)
Thanks for your (speedy !) help,
Xavier

Hello,

Welcome back!

I'm afraid you still cannot create events from an article. But you can create articles from an event.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the answer and sorry to hear this is not still possible..

The goal is simple : to get in a content (managed by Flexicontent) the list of events in JEvents..

Thanks anyway :)

Hello,

Could you give me an example? Because with an article you have no event start date / end date? you just have the article title, description and publish date?

Many thanks
Tony

Here is an example :)
I have 10 actors in my database (content managed by Flexicontent)
I have 100 movies in my events with dates and hours
I want to show under each actors the list of their movies with date and hours

Quite "classic" :)
I could use Flexicontent to make all this but i want to use JEvents as Calendars, Lists, etc... are really usefull.
I also have to use Flexicontent as this give me many others options i have to keep...

Thanks :)

Hello Xavier,

Why not use the JEvents Event Content plugin see:
https://www.jevents.net/products-new/addons/silver-addons/item/event-links-content-plugin

Many thanks

Yes, it could but it will not be "very handy" for persons who fill events or create content... but i can misunderstand you.. I have to test to see how to do this with the plugin.

As the site is going to be used by "non professionnals" users, i have to get something verrrryyyyy simple to use :D

Thanks :)

Hello,

Well you would include this on the artists page and it will automatically show the events for that artist within it's page.

Many thanks

Hello,

You can link to an event with repeats using:
{jeventmatch=rp_id|_blank}

Or you could just create a JEvents Latest events module if they have multiple events, one for each artist and filtered by this artist and then embed it with say:

{loadposition my_new_module_position}

and place the module in the position my_new_module_position

Many thanks
Tony
