Hi, apologies in advance if I have missed something in the FAQs or tutorials, but I cannot find the answer to fix my issue. My event details are truncated to 200 characters and then the following location and extra informatiom are not displayed. I am using the defauilt event detail layout, although i have tried using different variations yet I still have the same issue.

I have a hidden menu item for Jevents and am using this for the "Menu Item for ALL event detail links" configuration.

What am I missing?

Many thanks,
Aaron

Hello Aaron,

If you edit the event the content truncated or is it just the display?

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

When I am logged in as an Admin in the front end, and click on the event in the list of events (latest events module), I do not see the description. I see the title and date, and then some event admin options including the edit button (pencil icon). Once I click the edit button, then click the Edit main event from the Manage Event popup, it shows the full event in it's entirety, the same as it does in the backend when editing.

If the event details are over about 200 characters/30 words, then the location, contact and extra information are also missing when viewed as an event in the front end as a public user.

I did install the latest Jevents again today just to be sure, and the Support Info looks ok (pasted below.

Thanks for your help, I am just stuck on what to do?

Cheers,
Aaron

Can you provide a link to where it is truncated? Also, try unpublishing any custom layouts you have enabled.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

I've added the site url into the Site Details. There is no custom layouts other than the default ones.

Thanks for your help,
Aaron

The issue is caused by the 'content auto readmore' plugin.

Many thanks

Hi Tony,

Wow, I am sorry I missed this, I should have thought of this. I really appreciate your help in finding the cause of this, it was driving me nuts. It did not have this effect on an older version of Joomla, but since upgrading to the latest version of Joomla and Jevents we had not been able to find the cause.

Cheers,
Aaron
