After upgrading the website to Joomla 3.8.10 and Events 3.4.47 the creation of calendar items from the front-end isn't working anymore. On storing an event the error "Call to a member function rp_id() on null" is shown. Could somebody please give me an indication on where to start searching for a solution?

Ver many thanks in advance!

I've got the same problem - on my local server and on a remote one. In frontend, changing existing events is possible, but new ones not. On storing an event the error "Call to a member function rp_id() on null" is shown.

Could it have anything to do with latest joomla update on 3.8.10?

Do you know how to fix this?

Hello,

The quickest fix is to create a second category.

Otherwise replace your file:
/administrator/components/com_jevents/fields/jeveventcalendar.php
with this file:

https://github.com/tonypartridge/JEvents/edit/jQuery/component/admin/fields/jeveventcalendar.php?pr=/JEvents/JEvents/pull/436

Thank you - a new category didn't help, but your file did! :)

Hello tonyp,

I have the same problem, upgrade to Joomla 3.8.11 and JEvents 3.4.47, but I can not recover your file.
Account creation on GitHub, impossible.
Would it be possible to have this file in another way?
Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you, I solved my problem by installing version 3.4.48, which was not available at the time of editing the site version.
Have a good day :-)
