Hi!
I have (a lot of) different sites running with the same version of Joomla! (Joomla : 3.9.19) and JEvents. Finde the support data below.

However, they are running on different php versions because my hosting provider is in the process of switching php versions for all webspaces. Some of them are already on

Some of them are still on php5.6. JEvents is working there.

<strong>Problem:</strong> Most websites on php7.3 show errors (Jevents does not work in the frontend), some do work. Same server.

Our test site does work.
example for not working site.

I was wondering how I can track down this issue. Even when I set the error logging to "Developement" the system does not give me any hint what can look for. Do we need to update (we will in any case at some point)?

Thanks a lot.
Chris

Just in case anyone runs in similar problems:
The "alternative" layout creates the problem. "flat" layout works.
So - to buy some time - we switch to the "flat" layout where the error occurs. This works with PHP7.3, at least in our environment.

Thanks so far.

On your sites running PHP 7.3 you should upgrade to JEvents 3.6.5 for the other upgrade to JEvents 3.4.57

Thanks, Geraint, for that quick response.
I know we need to do the upgrade. I was just wondering, why one installation in 7.3 works and the other installation on 7.3 does not work. I would like to buy me some time. If I knew how to make all installations on 7.3 work, it would be cool. Then I can plan the upgrade properly.

Side question: To upgrade to 3.6.5 is only a regular install...?
