Hello guys, happy new year.
I am an past JEvents customer, now looking for a new project and need to see if JEvents will fit in.

There are many questions... with the most critical to be the multiple payment configurations and I will explain.

The project will be a training center multi-site, most possible with MightySites by AlterBrains.

There will be the main organization site and then the various training locations.
One Joomla installation for all with database and user sharing with the appropriate user permissions. Mighty-Sites in its features states that can share JEvents database across.

Main Site will display all general info and an calendar with all events from all locations, while each location child site will display its relative info and its events.

The main and most critical question is:
Is it possible to have multiple payment configurations (e.g. more than one paypal account) attached for each site location ?
Site - location can be translated to a specific user who will be the events owner. And any registrations to those events, should send payment to that paypal account.

Furthermore, there is need for custom permissions by user/usergroup to locations and categories management.

As well I am also looking for minor options to display locations filter on events calendar/ events lists, menu items for events by location/category,
and the possibility to create link inside the calendars from location to location... e.g. where events displays event at, to make it link to the corresponding location calendar (ok, this is sounds rather easy, but anyway).

Please introduce me back to JEvents possibilities...
Thanks
J.

This is all quite do-able - you would setup different calendars in the backend for each site and setup permissions for the various users accordingly.

Different paypal accounts can be accomodated using Community Builder or JomSocial profile fields - i.e. it would use the paypal account of the event creator by default. Also when creating event registration templates you can customise the payee account for a specific template.

Category permissions can be handles by Joomla ACL and the locations are either public (and can be used by anyone) or private (can only be assigned to an event by the creator) and in terms of viewing you can use the Joomla access levels too.

This is good to know...
We are in the research process and need to gather all options available, in order to set up our plan.
I trust JEvents, because of its maturity and your support.
So needed to have these questions answered.
I may return back with other questions as we progress and further defining the requirements.
Thanks a lot Geraint.

I forgot to ask this one:
We are also looking for the "Prerequisite Attendance" Feature.
Meaning that some events could be split to parts e.g. session 1, session 2 etc.
In order to register for session 2, the user should have first attend session 1.
Is this possible within JEvents ?

with RSVP Pro you can create session template with conditional fields - at present this is restricted to yes/no conditions. So you could construct an event where the visitor doesn't get the options to select options 2 unless option 1 has been selected

BUT there is no conditional attendance of events based on other events - but that is an interesting idea that may be possible to implement in the future
