I am importing events from this calendar

http://www.wamacconference.org/g5-bin/client.cgi?G5genie=150&;school_id=102

If I click subscribe and google calendar I can import using a cron job and the events import wonderfully...

Some of the events such as

9-1-2016 Pictures
or
9-2-2016 Pictures
or
9-3-2016 Instrumental Music

These events are entered in the original calendar with a start date but no end date and no start or end time, the event has no definite start or end time, and this works great for their calendar.... When this gets imported into Jevents the event displays in the back end without a start or end time and is listed as an all day event which is just fine but the event will not display in the latest events module.

I believe this is due to no start and end time being entered and this somehow causes the end date in jevents to have an issue... the start date is correct (ie 9-1-2016) but the end date is the previous day (ie 8-31-2016) see attached image. Can you think of a solution as making changes on their end have not resolved the issue... Can we somehow ignore the end date? Or force the imported events to change the end date to be the same as the start date? Or another solution?

Thanks!!!

Are you importing directly into JEvents or via Google Calendar

If via Google - can you try importing using this URL
webcal://www.wamacconference.org/g5-bin ... &type=ical

In fact I did this and only 3 events are in the export? Am I doing something wrong?

Yes you only imported that day's events

Import using this:

http://www.wamacconference.org/g5-bin/c ... -0,_ical_0

You will now get events that work and the picture events that do not... but all will import
I have attached the calendar screen shot below so you can see how I have this setup to import

Please unzip and upload this file to components/com_jevents/libraries/ and it should resolve the issue.

Thanks That worked... Now the events display but there are a few new issues that have arose.

1. The titles now include (HOME) or (AWAY) THis was not the case before this change I would like those removed.

2. The titles are very long can I trim them to a specified char amount???

Hello,

1. There is nothing we can do since your iCal file which you are importing contains them.

2. Not at present, you could follow it with a .. in the JEvents Custom Layouts, and force a set width on a span with an overflow hidden.

Many thanks
Tony
