Hi Guys,

We're looking for an enterprise calendaring solution to install across a multitude of domains inside a very specific vertical market.

We have tried three other Joomla calendaring solutions out there so far, and have wound up with egg on our faces all three times, with a significant loss of customer confidence across our network.

Initially, we had considered JEvents, but the restrictions on how many calendars can be updated via the JUpdate feature has been extremely off-putting and was the reason for our reluctance to use JEvents across our client sites.

It seems like you guys have made quite a bit of progress since the last time we reviewed your applications, and we're liking what we're seeing, but the JUpdate limit continues to be a no-go area for our tech team, as it would require JEvents, and all associated plugins and modules to be manually updated on each site in the network.

My question is this: Would there be any possibility, as our network grows, that we could have this number upped? I understand that would necessitate an increase in subscription fees, and we have no problem with that, but as it stands now, it appears your subs are your subs and there's no other option for folks in a situation like ours, who would love to utilise your products, but are running afoul of your JUpdate limits.

Any response would be kindly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Todd

Hello Todd,

Welcome to JEvents.net!

I'm sorry to hear of your past experiences and that you didn't try us first! <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->

It's not so much a limitation, we just think that 10 sites per account is fair given how cheap our subscriptions are. This is just for Automatic updating, you can manually update an unlimited number of sites. Bearing in mind that this is for each individual domain, not sub domains..

So if you had more than 10 sites, then we would just recommend purchasing another subscription and generating more ID's.

How does that work for you? Also, remember if you renew your subscription before expiry you get a 20%! discount...

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

Thanks for that! I don't know why I didn't think about just purchasing multiple subs. Sometimes can't see the wood for the trees apparently!

That'll work perfect for us.

And regarding the 'other' guys, yeah, I know. I guess we once again ran afoul of a situation where the sales/marketing speak was really good, but failed to adequately represent either the product or the company. Happens to the best of us at times.

Thanks again for your response.
