I'm thinking it would make more sense if a menu item link is able to link to a calendar id and not just a category. It appears that the calendars that are created are really just one big calendar just filtered by category. That doesn't seem to make much sense as it then needs each calendar to have a unique category to show only that calendar... So why have unique calendars at all.
I'm happy to create the code for it if you can give me some insights as to what parts are needed.
If you can specify the list of code modules and config files that I need to create/edit, and describe what needs to go where, I think I can come up with it.
We already have unique calendars so we should be able to create menu links to them pretty easily.
Let me know if this functionality is already implemented in some way, of if it would be of benefit.

A good idea - its on long to do list. The best way to understand what would be involved is to follow through the code for the monthly calendar.
