Hi

I'm trying to import data from old jev_locations table into new jev_locations table but it isn't working. As far as I can tell, there is a new column ("rawlocation";) in the new table, which isn't in the old table. So when I import the data, all data falls into the wrong columns after the "title" column ... see attached screenshot.

I tried opening the CSV import file and inserted a new column where the rawlocation column is, exported it as a CSV file, and imported it, but an error message says "Invalid column count in CSV input on line 1" (see attached)

What can I do?

Thanks,
Blaine

I think I solved it. I found a work around. I imported the old table in sql format and renamed it.

Thanks.

Hi Blaine,
Managed Locations had some important changes in SQL structure. If you were trying to import from a version before those changes took place, CSV import into the new table will not do due to these changes. Exactly what you did is the advisable behavior: Import SQL (Data and structure) form old table (taking into account the db prefix for the new table is correct) and then reinstall latest release of Locations Manager. That will take care of merging changes and putting everything in place.

Thanks. It seems to be working alright now.

Can I ask one more related question... how can I "re-connect" all the location pictures. If I find the folder they are in, and copy that folder into the same location on new website, will the links still work?

Yes, they should work out of the box if they are in the same relative path as in the old site.
