Hello,

I'm most interesting in the using the Featured module on my frontpage for events owners who have paid to create the events. I plan to use a subscription service, but I would like for the visual display of the events to be different from what I can only see in the demos, more editorial looking, so I'm wondering just how easily it will be to customize the Featured event module layout.

1) For example, can it easily be edited to have a border automatically added to main event image?

2) And set up with image (left-aligned), and event details (date, description,etc) to the left of the event image. Is this possible? In the demos, they are under the image via the Latest events example.

Thanks

No, I would be using Featured events module, only referred to Latest events mentioning its what shown in demos which I figure is also how Featured events module looks or is customizable the same as.

The standard images addon (see http://www.jevents.net/products-new/add ... -uploads-2) allows you to place a specially formatted image (with a popup link if you want) in your event descriptions, list view or latest events module.

Each instance of the latest events module can be configured differently with completely different layouts |see http://www.jevents.net/docs/jevents/ite ... at-strings) - the featured events plugin merely allows you to control the events that appear so that they would be the ones you have received payment for as an example

Ohhh ok, well now I realize I have been misunderstanding exactly how the Featured part works. I've also reviewed the pdf for Latest Events. I'm still trying to decide but glancing at it, it looks more daunting than I'd expect to customize, I thought it will be a simple way to click what to show or not show in event listing layout. I wish there were examples of real sites, that would help on deciding and visually viewing what's possible but I searched and I know theres's not a showcase listing set up yet. Thanks so much for your replies!

Hello,

We are currently going through everything but it's taking time unfortunately. A showcase section is on my big list!

Here are a few:

<!-- w -->www.manxmtb.com<!-- w -->
walls.jeventsdemo.net
<!-- w -->www.bikestyle.im/events/monthcalendar/2014/2/-.html<!-- w -->

Thanks
Tony

Can the publishing date range also be restricted with the Featured plugin? For example, if I'd like to users events to be limited to show as published no longer than 14 days, whereas they cant choose to end publishing longer than 14 days from the date they publish an event? Can this be controlled in admin settings? Or will I have to just trust a user to follow publishing rules and have to manually do this when a user sets them otherwise?

Thanks

Is this something that I can hire perhaps a php developer to easily customize to enter a string for this for Featured Events? I want to restrict people from having Featured Events published past 14 days, to prevent them from being listed for weeks and months pass that on the homepage where they will be listed.

So this would allow the events to appear in the featured list ONLY for the first 2 weeks after they are created? Is that right?

I see can I just control that by which events show in the module by what week etc. One more question, that I can't seem to find by demo and documentation.

Can the module have a multi-column horizontal layout? For instance 3 events per row? Thanks

Hello,

That's an interesting idea having x amount per row. At present it is not possible.

Thanks
Tony

You could do it using CSS3 multi-column styling options.
