Hi,
Can I have further info about CCK linkage? I would like to buy the Silver subscription

My needs are:
1. In a jevent calendar, month view, I would like to click on an event and directly open a k2 item. Is it possible with CCK linkage?

2. CCK linkage works for any URL? I mean, I click on an event in month view and it opens a URL that I set in the event detail.

thank u

1. The CCK addon can be configured to automatically open in the associated K2 item.

2. when you click the event in the month view it would redirect to the K2 item - are you wanting to be able to specify a redirect URL that isn't in K2 for some events?

1. Perfect!!!!!

2. Yes, I try to explain better what are my needs, so could answer me about another question. I would like having independent calendars: that one, where events are k2 items and that one where I can redirect URL for DJ CATALOG2 items ( I saw that it is not a component that CCK linkage supports). But if I can specify a redirect URL for events that are not k2, it would be great! for me it's important to not open event detail view of your component, but directly opening k2 items or other pages of my website.

Is it possible?

Then Jevents colud manage many indipendent calendars?

Hello,

Sorry about this Geraint likely missed your message with the other users.

I'm afraid for 2. thats not possible at present, we link to certain items on the selected component.
However, using the customfields plugin and using the jevcfurl field you can set redirect="1" to automatically redirect to this url if the url has been filed out.

Many thanks
Tony

the custom fields addon allows you to add custom fields to the event editing and detail pages. One of these is a URL field so for your events that do not use K2 you can set a URL when you edit an event and then when that event detail page is viewed anywhere e.g. clicking from the calendar the page will automatically redirect to the URL you provided.

Hello,

That is exactly what Geraint has said and what this does. The plugin is available to our Silver Club Members and above only.

So whenever you fill out the url it will redirect the event to the url entered. If it is been left empty it will not redirect. It doesn't matter for the calendars, you just enter the url you want the event to go to.

Many thanks
Tony

Yes, the easiest way is with categories as calendars. Or use the JEvents calendar menus and modules plugin.

Many thanks
