Before I decide whether to pay for JEvents, I need to know some key infomations about JEvents:
1. Can every user with permit create and manage their own calendars and events?
2. Can users be invited to the events?
3. When you invite a user to your event, can you see that user's calendar (if he or she allow the calendar to be disclosed) to determine when he or she would be available?
If JEvents core doesn't have these features, does any of the addons have?

Hello,
1. Users manage events not calendars. But you can configure views so they can see their own events only.
2. Yes with RSVP Pro event creators can invite users
3. You could use Community Builder and the JEvents plugin to list the users events. So the event creator can view the users profile and see what events they are attending.
