Following an upgrade I am unable to save a new event although I can edit existing events. I get no action from the save command except the addition of a # to index.php in the URL window. There is no error notification. All other functions seem normal and responsive.

Here is my JEvents Support Info:

PHP Version : 5.3.29
MySQL Version : 5.1.26-rc-5.1.26rc-log
Joomla : 2.5.28
component_com_jevents : 3.2.4
module_mod_jevents_cal : 3.2.4
module_mod_jevents_custom : 3.2.4
module_mod_jevents_filter : 3.2.4
module_mod_jevents_latest : 3.2.4
module_mod_jevents_legend : 3.2.4
module_mod_jevents_switchview : 3.2.4
plugin_content_jevents : 3.2.4
plugin_finder_jevents : 3.2.4 (not enabled)
plugin_search_eventsearch : 3.2.4 (not enabled)
Hello,

Is this in the front or backend of Joomal!?

Have you tried changing your editor?

Have your cleared your browsers cache?

Thanks

I'll be releasing version 3.2.5 today which will eliminate this warning message - if that doesn't resolve the issue please let us know and we'll look into it in more detail.

Please give more details of what the problem is you are seeing? Frontend/backend? At what stage do things go wrong? Any messsages on screen? any error messages in the javascript console?

The problem is only in the frontend.
After filled in data the "Save" and "Save & Close" button do not work.
"Cancel" does work. In the backend one can add events.
The are no error messages being displayed.
You can click on the buttons but nothing happens.

The other thing that does not work is the popup calendar.
I am using the RocketTheme Modulus template.

Hello HP,

The Rocket Theme Modulus template was released in 2011 and likely is still using Mootools or the likes. Either way it is clashing.

Are you on the latest version on Joomla! 3.4.5?

If you open your browser console, what errors do you see?

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tonyp,

The Modulus Template is an old Template but should still be compatible with J3.4.
It is also uptodate including the RokBox.

These are the errors from the console:

SyntaxError: illegal character 0:245:21

Try disabling RokBox as a start then tell us (from the web page source) what version of mootools and jQuery is being loaded.

Did disabling RokBox remove some of the javascript error messages?

On a separate note - what date formats do you have configured for event editing in JEvents? what language is your site running?

This is the error message with RokBox disabled:

SyntaxError: illegal character 0:287:21
TypeError: temp.getYMD is not a function editicalJQ.js:557:13

the issue is the syntax error I suspect.

If you send me login details and the URL via PM I'll see if I can spot what is going on.
