Before I go purchasing JEvents for my site (isurfedthere.com) I'd like to know if I can create an event template that will be used over and over again with built in custom fields for competition heats. Each event will need to have somewhere between 20-30 divisions, with (normally) six competitors assigned to a division based on age:

Up to Age 14
Ages 15-19
Ages 20-29
and so on...

I need the software to automatically do two things:

1. limit how many users can sign up for each age division
2. show how many users are already signed up in all divisions

Is this possible? Are there any "ready made" solutions for this?
Hello,

Welcome to JEvents.

By the sounds of it you are wanting to take event registrations and have custom fields for the registration part?

With RSVP Pro, we have a 'templates' system which allows you to create one of many template(s). Add all the fields and so on. Then you can view the amount of users, or even limit them.

See:

Many thanks
Tony

Thanks for the quick reply Tony. Do you have any examples of layouts that show how these custom fields might be laid out? I would like people to be able to see each event's attendees in each division on the event page, something like this:

Up to Age 14:
1. Johnny Phillips
2. Ferdie Morales
3. open
4. open
5. open
6. open

Ages 15-19:
1. Billy Snyder
2. Matt Dalton
3. Herb Bradley
4. open
5. open
6. open

And so on.

Thanks!

Hello,

Did you see:

http://rsvp.jeventsdemo.net

You can login as an admin and customise the forms etc. They will reset every hour.

That ouput isn't possible with the RSVP Pro as every template differs so that's quite a unique view of attendees.

But a list of attendees which is sortable could be added. So it is a box of ALL attendees and there is a column: Ages and you can then sort by the selected age?

Thanks
Tony

That would be better than nothing, but I really need to be able to limit the number of entries in each age group, and let prospective entrants know if their age group is getting full and who the other competitors are. It seems that some custom coding and/or some extra plugins or such will be needed.

Hello,

You can limit the number of selections an option can have. We do offer a 30day money back guarantee too!

Many thanks

That sounds like it could work. Can you point me toward some documentation for that feature?

Thanks

So in that example I would set Field Capacity to 6? Would that then limit Males to 6 and Females to 6?

That is a screenshot from the gold member event registration addon RSVP Pro - see demo videos https://www.jevents.net/products-new/addons/rsvp-pro

If you want to use RSVP Pro you would need to upgrade to a gold member - you will get a considerable discount doing this as a silver member.
