I am pleased to announce the release of 1.5.5b of JEvents (a bug fix release that fixes a few small bugs found in 1.5.5). This features lots of new exciting features. Here are a few highlights:
- Allow setting default start and end time for event editing
- List layout editing. If you want to use this with the Ruthin/Extplus/Iconic club layouts you will need to upgrade to the versions here : http://www.jevents.net/en/downloads/category/3-club-layouts
- Notify author by email when their events are first published
- Allowing the importing of iCal events in the frontend
- Allow catids to be separated by commas not pipes (helpful for some server configurations)
- Config option to allow RAW unfiltered descriptions through Joomla form filters - set to yes if you want forms. scripts or media items in your event desciptions
- iCal exports are now in the timezone specified in the JEvents calendar to avoid timezone problems when exporting
- Ability to lock imported iCal events so that future imports from the URL do not overwrite the values
- PHP 5.3 support
- Support for importing of basic events via CSV file
