This filter module can be configured to use a variety of plugins, such as the location search plugin, to filter/search  the events shown in the main calendar and modules.

Simple give a comma separated list of filter names you wish to apply e.g. for the locations manager you would use the text "locationsearch" - you could add a generalised Search filter by adding the text "search" (remember the comma separation!).
