I'm using Jevents 3.0.7 and I'm quite satisfied with it. But there is one detail that I find a little bit annoying.

- Select "front end edit in pop up window" in the Jevents configuration
- Click "Add an event" in the Joomla Frontend
- The popup window that is displayed now does not look very smart:

The check boxes are displaced (on a new line)
The calendar select icons are displaced (on a new line)
The two dropdowns have different sizes and different fonts
The font size in the description Text box is much smaller than in the other Text boxes

Well it's just for the aesthetics, but nevertheless...

Hello,

This is very much likely down to your template.

If your template does not include a component.php file then Joomla! Reverts to the default system component.php which is very bare.

Regards
Tony

Hello

there is a file "../templates/allrounder-3/component.php".
Code: Select all
It contains the following code:
<?php
// no direct access
defined( '_JEXEC' ) or die( 'Restricted access' );
?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="<?php echo $this->language; ?>" lang="<?php echo $this->language; ?>" dir="<?php echo $this->direction; ?>">
<head>
   <jdoc:include type="head" />
   <link href="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template ?>/css/template.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />
   <link href="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template ?>/css/joomla.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />
   <link href="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template ?>/css/colors.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />
   <link href="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template ?>/css/print.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />
   <link href="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>/templates/<?php echo $this->template ?>/css/typo.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />
</head>
<body class="contentpane">
   <jdoc:include type="message" />
   <jdoc:include type="component" />
</body>
</html>

then you need to look into the CSS files this component.php file is loading since they are affecting the layout/presentation of the page.

I just tried a different template and I must admit, the form looks better. Eventually I found the file joomla.css that belogs to my template. Here I replaced

Code: Select all
form .control-group input {
  width: auto;
  display: block;
}

with

Code: Select all
form .control-group input {
  width: auto;
  display: inline;
}

and the form looks better now. Thank you for your support.
