Joomla 2.5 Jevents 2.2.8

I would like some registered users to be able to add events in the calendar and for those to be pubished. They should not be allowed to make any other changes on the site. My understanding is that this can be achieved either by the creation of a calendar group with appropriate permissions or directly from the jevents edit user menu.

I have tried using the jevents menu but registered users are not shown in the drop down list.

I then changed my user to an author in the joomla user menu. then when i add the user in the jevents user screen i can see the user, add him but when they add an event, they have to be reviewed by the admin (even though i selected that they can add/edit/publish events in the jevents screen).

Im not sure what Im doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated - Thanks.

Did you enable user authorization mode? If so, after that, did you configured it properly at User Authorization area of JEvents?

Hi, I had not configured user authorisation mode (done now), However, Im unable to add the registered user in the jevents user menu as it does not show that user.

You must set registered to allowed to create events in the JEvents permissions.

Authorised users only allows you to add users allowed to create events.

Feel free to PM me if you would like Custom Installs or Joomla! related work for a competitive quote.
