I created now a new event, dated 28/2/2013
title 'test one event'

main menu, new item "detail of an event'
I choose the right event.

but : (choice : http://www.tangopostale.com/dev/jupgrade/fr/ then programme/details of an event)
http://www.tangopostale.com/dev/jupgrad ... 013/1/10/-

gives a weird result. Because it adds a date, why does it ?

I do suspect its a Falang issue with the translation of the menu item Alias

Can you try creating a completely new untranslated menu item as a test.

But the new site is on a different version of Joomla?

nope, the development/test site (http://www.tangopostale.com/dev/jupgrade/) is with same version than the public site (http://www.tangopostale.com).

Right now, the public site is with Jevent 2.2.8 and the test one with 3.0

With 2.2.8 of Jevents and SEF and Farlang on, all events display OK (look for example at : http://www.tangopostale.com/fr/programm ... stevents/-)

with 3.0 and SEF OFF, it is OK, (cf. http://www.tangopostale.com/dev/jupgrad ... =2&lang=fr)
with SEF ON, works no more. everything is identical in both sites, only difference is Jevent 3.0

Can you send me login details for the test site so I can create a test menu item to see what is going on. JEvents 3.0 is 99% the same as JEvents 2.2 or Joomla 2.5 so I can't see what could cause this problem.

I created a new test menu item for you "Geraint Test" and translated it into english "Geraint EN". The original and the translation works ok with Falang and SEF enabled.

Can you check the translations of your other JEvents menu items. I'm sure this is the source of your problems.

working on sunday ? waoo ...

menu items are not all translated yet !
but IMO that does not explain why the 2.2.8 version of jevents pauses no problem, and the new one does !
Generally speaking, when Joomla or falang does not find a translation, it SHOULD use the 'all languages' text

I will try and translate everything. will tell you then.

I THINK I GOT THE BUG :
in the new version, the SEF url is :

http://www.tangopostale.com/dev/jupgrad ... listevents

right ? (english menu, former festival/2012/all festival events)
now in the public site, i see a "/-" added to the url, and if I add those 2 char to the url, then it works ...

test :
http://www.tangopostale.com/dev/jupgrad ... stevents/-
