Code: Select all
Joomla : 2.5.8
component_com_jevents : 2.2.8
module_mod_jevents_latest : 2.2.5
plugin_editors_jce : 2.3.1

Since I use the acymailing component for newsletters, I can include modules. I wanted to include the latest events module, but the module returned "no events found". I tried to include it on my homepage and I saw the same text, unless I logged in.
The problem is, my site has multiple access levels, so the categories must be restricted. On the module parameters I have "Block Category Filters" and "Neglect Jevents Filter Module" on Yes and "Use settings below" to Yes.

I don't know if it is possible to give public access to categories in the Latest Events Module, but maybe you could help me.

Thanks in advance,

Stefan Smith

Hi Stefan
I'm afraid these events are not going to be shown in the module as they are not public and I suspect this Acymailing feature behaves like a public user, you may check anyway if they provide some kind of ACL overriding in the module.

Here at JEvents we do provide an AcyMailing plugin for our Silver Members that might help you include your events the same way as in a latest events module.

Do you have the version of acyMailing that sends the emails from the frontend? Does this offer you the chance to send the email based on the permissions of the recipient?
