Forum rules
When requesting support please follow these steps:

1. Update all JEvents add on's first, via the Joomla! Updater
2. Copy and Paste the JEvents Support Information from the JEvents Control Panel.
3. If you get a 500 error OR white page, enable Maximum Error Reporting in Joomla! Global Config and visit the page again, this should give you a more detailed error and help us provide a prompt response.

Hi,
we've got for every Update of the ical file an entry in our error log. The Update himself works fine. I doesn't unterstand why the entry is been made and i don't know what the error means:

I'm afraid I don't recognise what that log message means - I suspect its being generated by CURL on your server, its not coming directly from JEvents.

Yes, it seems to be a message of curl. But hasn't anybody else, how is using google, curl and jevents the same message in his error log?

We are using the following command for curl:

What does the [1-30] part mean? You need a separate cron entry for every calendar e.g.
curl --url "http://www.ourdomain.xyz/index.php?option=com_jevents&icsid=1&task=icals.reload" > /dev/null 2>&1
curl --url "http://www.ourdomain.xyz/index.php?option=com_jevents&icsid=2&task=icals.reload" > /dev/null 2>&1
etc.

You don't need to add every calendar by his own. You can use "[]" for pscanding numbers. Compare the HowTo of curl:

http://curl.haxx.se/docs/manpage.html

But we get the same error log, when we use curl with the same command for a single reload-url.

You learn something every day :)

The original log output looks like a failure to access the google calendar.

If you try to refresh the calendar manually in the backend of Joomla does it work then?

Both methods works, but they created big error log files on the server.

then you need to change the error reporting settings on your server - these messages are not generated by PHP directly I suspect its something at the Apache level.
