SOLVED - J 1.7.3 having issues installing the admin menu

Discuss JEvents 2.x for Joomla 1.5-2.5 here - club members can use the special club forum for faster response times.
Forum rules
When requesting support please follow these steps:

1. Update all JEvents add on's first, via the Joomla! Updater
2. Copy and Paste the JEvents Support Information from the JEvents Control Panel.
3. If you get a 500 error OR white page, enable Maximum Error Reporting in Joomla! Global Config and visit the page again, this should give you a more detailed error and help us provide a prompt response.

This is weird. Have you tried logging in only in the backend before running the script?

Yes, but let me try one more time. I understand that all I do is login to the backend and then copy and paste this script( into my address bar and then click enter and it should resolve my issue, but I get this instead: Must be logged in to backend of Joomla as a super root user to run this script

Any ideas?

If your Joomla 1.7 Joomla install in the same folder as the cleanInstall.php file? e.g. if your site is then put the cleanInstall file in the joomla17 subfolder.

So I tried it again and it failed however I tried this: (w/o the http://)and it worked. So now what is the next step to get a clean install of JEvents on Joomla 1.7?

I was able to install JEvents successfully. You can call this case closed. Thanks for the help.
