Joomla 1.7.3
JEvents 2.0.10 and same in 2.0.11
In the backend category manager when I click on the Options button on the toolbar the Options dialogue flashes up and closes itself.
I see a couple of other people have reported this but no conclusions (unless they happened by PM)

Browser is FireFox 8.0.1 on MacOSX Lion

Lightbox option dialogues in other components work fine.

This is core Joomla code - do you see the same problem with the options dialog in the joomla content categories page?

Do you see any javascript error messages in the Firefox javascript error console?

Same problem appears with me (Joomla 1.7.1, JEvents 2.0.9).

The message in Firefox Error Console is:

"Joomla is not defined".

Memis,

That sounds like a possible script clash. Can you try using the Original Joomla template and see if the error still occurs?

Thanks
Tony

Unfortunately the error still occurs. I changed both the site and the administrator template.

..the options dialog in the joomla content categories page is doing well, by the way. The error occurs just in the JEvents categories page.

What template are you using?

Can you try enabling or disabling the Popup in the Jevents Layout Defaults..

If it is still occuring can you please provide us with a link?

Thanks!

I'm using the customized beez template. Bluestork is my Administrator template. - I mean, the error only occurs in the back-end. Every other options popup window is doing fine.

The source file link in the error console leads to the following code:

Code: Select all
<script type="text/javascript">
   Joomla.submitbutton = function(task)
   {
      if (document.formvalidator.isValid(document.id('component-form'))) {
         Joomla.submitform(task, document.getElementById('component-form'));
      }
   }
</script>

This seems to be the not defined "Joomla". But what can be done..?

Thanks

Hello,

You have indeed found a bug! I will raise this with Geraint and should have it fixed very soon.

Now I understand where you are referring to. This behaviour is intentional - there is nothing to be configured from this link but Joomla doesn't provide us with a mechanism to disable/remove this button so we just close the popup instead.
