Hi,

I am in the process of upgrading my site from Joomla 1.5 to 1.7. I have therefore installed the new Version of Jevents (2.0), but how i will proceed to import all my calendars + events from the previous version ???
Thank you for your Help ;)

There is a script to help this process in the Jevents 2.0 downloads folder

Can you expand on this please?

I've got Jevents2 working on a Joomla1.6 site.
I now need to get the events/categories etc over from the old site and up onto the new site.

Any advice on how to do this is much appreciated.

Thank you.

"the value to set for NEWSITEPATH is the subfolder of the Joomla 1.5 site where your jupgraded version of Joomla 1.6 is."

Lost me there, can you please illustrate this with an example?

Thank you.

I think that script is intended to be use after using JUpgrade to migrate to Joomla! 1.6/1.7. Did you use that tool or are you creating a new site from scratch and trying to reproduce the same content and functionalities?

Upgrade tool used, worked OK.

What does "subfolder of the Joomla 1.5 site where your jupgraded version of Joomla 1.6 is." mean?
Can some one illustrate with some examples, please?

Thank you.

"the value to set for NEWSITEPATH is the subfolder of the Joomla 1.5 site"

What's the subfolder of www.oldsite.com?

The script only works when both sites are on the same file space. It may be possible to adapt the script to get around this BUT both files spaces and databases must be accessible by the same web process therefore its unlikely.

If you can't use the upgrade script then you could do an ical export/import of your events.
