JEvents 1.5 (No longer actively supported)

Year view: show dates of events

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Hi,

I searched Google and the JEvents-Board, but didn't find a proper answer about this issue.

I need to display the dates (and start time) of events in the year view list.

How do I do that?

Best regards,
Ricardo Cristof

P.S.: Besides that, I need to display more than 10 events at once as default, but the components ignores, what I write into the configuration in the backend.

At the moment you will need to write a Joomla template override to do this. When I get some time I'll write a short blog entry about template overrides for JEvents.

This is fixed in SVN - are you using the latest build from the link in the pink section above.

Hi,

I need the same (display dates and time). There is a topic in http://www.joomlaportal.de to modify the script in 1.4x, you can see the result f.e. on my site:
http://www.kulturbuero-goettingen.de/index.php?option=com_events&task=view_year&year=2009&month=03&day=25&Itemid=2

Now I configure my update to Joomla1.5 and JEvents 1.5

I would spring for a beer with paypal f.e. if you can realize it soon ;)

Thanks!

Hi Geraint,

well, I am using Joomla 1.5.9 and JEvents v1.5.0 RC from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jevents/frs/, so it might be com_jevents_rc_b1378.zip

Do you really think, i should install com_jevents_rc1388.zip? Or better wait for the official release?

Best regards,
Ricardo Cristof

The builds in the forum post at the top are incremental bug fix builds taking us from RC to Stable.

Thank you for the link to joomlaportal.de, this got me onto the right track. See my answer there or just download my solution.

[Edit: Bugfix. Events that are marked as all-day, but are spread on multiple days, are now shown correctly.]

There is another way of making this change - you could add a changed version of the helper defaultvieweventrownew.php in the folder /templates/{YOUR TEMPLATE}/html/com_jevents/helpers/
