JEvents 1.5 (No longer actively supported)

Keep up to date with Subversion

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

These notes assume you are using a local WAMP installation

1. Get a Windows SVN client - I use Tortoise which is a windows explorer extension (see
2. In windows explorer go to your jevents installation (where you have installed jevents alpha 3) to the administrator/components directory and backup your com_jevents folder (I just zip up the folder).
4. open the folder administrator/components/com_jevents and delete the contents (but keep the folder)
5. Using the context menu select "SVN checkout"
6. In the dialog select the URL ... nent/admin
7. Click "ok"

You may be prompted to login to in order to get the files. You can use a username "anonymous" and blank password to do this.

Do the same for the frontend folder using the URL ... onent/site

For the modules you will need the URLs ... events_cal , ... nts_latest , ... nts_legend and ... switchview

Whenever you want to update open the relevant folders and from the context menu select "SVN update" and click "ok" and your installation will get updated to the latest version.

Hope this helps a few people.
