Forum rules
When requesting support please follow these steps:

1. Update all JEvents add on's first, via the Joomla! Updater
2. Copy and Paste the JEvents Support Information from the JEvents Control Panel.
3. If you get a 500 error OR white page, enable Maximum Error Reporting in Joomla! Global Config and visit the page again, this should give you a more detailed error and help us provide a prompt response.

Yes,

So the Annon url produces a 403.. do you have any .htaccess restrictions in place?

When you manually access the url you get the 403?

No restrictions I can think of which would affect this- what should I check for specifically?

Yes, when I manually click the link (http://www.mydomain.co.uk/index.php?opt ... als.reload) I encounter the issue

Nope - just joomla. Though the site uses URL rewriting as well as SEF if that makes a difference?

It's just my regular 403 page - nothing special.

That indicates that 403 is either Joomla! based or server but I suspect Joomla! as you wouldn't normally style a server 403.

In which case... Are your Joomla! menu items in the front end restricted?
